Sports

Sport sits firmly at the heart of the curriculum with our busy, vibrant school providing our pupils with the opportunity to learn new skills, challenge themselves, work as a team and simply have fun!

At Griffin House sport is for all and there is a comprehensive physical education curriculum, which begins in the Early Years. Teams provide opportunities for all children to represent the school competitively in gymnastics, athletics, swimming, hockey, netball and cricket.

Pupils are taught by specialist sports teachers who offer a wide variety of sports. All children get the opportunity to play in competitive matches through fixtures against other schools from Year 3 upwards. There is a programme of weekday fixtures that take place in each of the three terms against local schools, as well as in District tournaments.
