STEAM

At Griffin House, we provide a broad, stimulating, and well-balanced STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) based curriculum which fosters the children’s curiosity and help them to gain an appreciation of the world around them.

Through carefully planned lessons, which ensure progression across the year groups, children are encouraged to be creative, collaborative, critical, inquisitive, and analytical. Within our dedicated STEAM lab, they are given opportunities to problem solve and build resilience, engage in practical investigations and experimentation, learn about coding, multimedia, and digital platforms, and through our new engineering curriculum, research, design, construct and evaluate.

We want Griffin Pupils to aspire to be the next generation of engineers, mathematicians, artists, writers, or scientists, and be prepared for the future of the 21st century

"The well resourced science room is used effectively, so that pupils gain science knowledge and investigation skills appropriate to their age"

"Teachers plan lessons which enable pupils to have many opportunities to discuss and explain their ideas. This helps pupils to articulate and they listen attentively"
