Coding Skills in Form II

Form II have thoroughly enjoyed their ICT lessons this term, as they have been able to use the Scratch program to learn and demonstrate their coding skills. This has fitted in perfectly with our maths topic of position and direction.

I have also been so impressed again this week by the children’s use of descriptive language in some of the shape poems they have written. Here are some of this week’s examples:

“Clouds as fluffy as plums” Lorenzo
“Dark, ominous clouds” Oliver
“The rain was like drippy diamonds in the air” Liam
“Petals soft as kittens’ fur” Ted
“Beautiful, glittery, shiny wings” Besem
“As charred as ash” Alex
